Say you looked at the Keyword "make money online".

Let's imagine the results are 500,567 searches without Quotes- and 1000 with Quotes.

You may want to use this as a key phrase, because using the exact term you are competing with helps with your ranking on the 1st page.

The inverted commas are really there for YOU - to help with your research

That is the ONLY reason.

The quotes allow you to ascertain your competition!

This is the SECRET that no one explains.

When you conduct a search at Google WITHOUT the quotes, you get results that contain your keywords IN ANY COMBINATION.

But......

.......when you conduct a search WITH the quotes, you get results that only include pages that contain your EXACT KEY-WORD PHRASE.

Do you see the difference?

I hope this helps a few here as it confused me TONS when i began.

Keyword research is a vitally important aspect of your search engine optimization campaign. If your site is targeting the wrong keywords, the search engines and your customers may never find you, resulting in lost dollars and meaningless rankings. By targeting the wrong keywords, you not only put valuable advertising dollars at risk, you are also throwing away all the time and energy you put into getting your site to rank for those terms to begin with.

Yes that is very true

Often people hardly think about this,
and just rush in and build a site about anything.

They do this without even giving too much thought to keyword
research then they wonder why am i not showing up in Google.
