I have to be honest, I haven’t been promoting my GDI business like I should’ve been promoting it. I’m not making excuses, it’s just that GDI was never a main focus of mine. I’m usually just focused on promoting my main sign up bonus site then in promoting individual programs, but this is me and what I think makes sense.

So, am I saying that Global Domains International is not as easy of a home based business then most people make it out to be? I do have to say that I am. It’s true that there are some super duper internet marketers out there getting well over 5 sign ups a week, but at the moment, I’m not one of those marketers. I also believe most people that sign up for GDI are kind of in my same boat.

GDI has been around for awhile, their business opportunity is a great way to build residual income over time if you can get the numbers in. I do think their product is kind of losing its value though. There are so many better ways to get your own domain name and to build your own website using open source code and a separate hosting company.

The cost of a domain name is around $10.00 a year and most basic hosting plans charge around $50.00 a year plus another $20.00 for an e-mail address to go with your domain. Once you have these two things set up, you can very easily jump into a free open source code system like WordPress or Drupal and have a professional looking CMS website with very minimal effort on your part in a very short time.

Let’s do the math on the two, shall we?

$10.00/mo x 12 = $120.00 a year for GDI’s website.ws services.

$10.00 domain
$50.00 hosting
$20.00 e-mail account

= about $80.00 a year elsewhere.

So you can actually save money not using GDI.

Then again, most hosting companies also have their own affiliate program through a third party network like Commission Junction or another network. This means you could very easily earn the cost of your hosting and domain plan back with an affiliate company and never pay a monthly fee.

I had the Gomez Peer software installed on my old computer. Now that they paid me, I figured it would be a good idea to install it on my current computer. So I did that, took me less than 5 minutes to set up.

Gomez is free to join, easy to make money with, and is now proven “to me” anyway that they really do pay their members. I know I haven’t made a whole lot of money with Gomez Peer, but I also haven’t done much with their program. Another thing I like about Nocturnal Email is that they currently pay $1.00 for every active referral you bring in. I think that is a little high on their part, but good for me and you.

The final good thing I’ll go ahead and mention about Nocturnal Email is that they don’t delete your account for not being active. For a paid to read email site, this sets the standard pretty high in my opinion. I hate sites that simply delete your account for not being active. It’s now wonder why the sites that do this usually have less than 1,000 members because they can’t retain them once they sign up.

If you don’t know what Bidvertiser is, it’s simply a free affiliate network where you can join as either an advertiser or a publisher. If you join as an advertiser or a publisher, you will be able to do both regardless. I initially joined as an advertiser to get help in promoting my Sign Up and Make Money online affiliate website. Deals N Cash pays a $5.00 sign up bonus for joining, so you’ll get a little bit of a head start. You earn 2 cents for every 30 second ad you click on and 1 cent off of every 30 second ad your referred affiliates click on up to one level deep. Deals N Cash pretty much has the exact same commission structure that Hits 4 Pay has, except you can only have one level of affiliates below you to earn off of. Deals N Cash also doesn’t tell you how many affiliates you have under you. I really don’t know why this is the case.

I’ve been a free member of Deals N Cash for over a year. So you can see that it really took me awhile to earn that measly $30.00. I really didn’t put too much time into Deals N Cash though. I put an affiliate link on my sign up bonus website and clicked on ads when I felt like I had time for them. That was it. I’ve probably only referred about 50 affiliates and my stats are showing that I’m earning off their clicks pretty much daily.

One of the biggest reasons I like Iron Offers is because they offer a good amount of cost per action ads (CPA). This is when you get paid per lead versus paid per sale. I’ve always found CPA promotions to be very profitable for both the advertiser and the affiliate marketer.

I tried searching for this information and was unable to find it either.

The Roboform affiliate program is one of those affiliate programs that you set it up on your website and totally forget all about it. I mean, you only get a measly 5 cents per software download, but believe it or not, that 5 cents can multiply pretty quickly when you’re getting a lot of quality traffic to your website.

The amount of free sign ups you get can increase even faster if you promote Roboform on your website to help your members sign up on your website or other websites.
